‘Zorg-op-maatpolis’: 75% reimbursement when using non-contracted healthcare providers

The biggest difference between the general insurance policies concerns your reimbursement for healthcare providers without a contract. Under the ‘Zorg-op-maatpolis’ policy, you are reimbursed 75% when you go to a healthcare provider who does not have a contract with CZ. If you go to a healthcare provider with a contract, you are reimbursed more. And there are other advantages too:

Choose between 6 deductibles

The selection of higher deductibles also differs per general insurance policy. You have 6 choices with the ‘Zorg-op-maatpolis’ policy: besides the This is the amount you have to pay yourself before you start receiving reimbursement for healthcare. There are two kinds of deductible in the Netherlands — compulsory and voluntary — and the compulsory deductible is set by the government. In 2025, the compulsory deductible is €385. On top of the compulsory deductible, you can also opt for a voluntary deductible of up to €500. The deductible only applies to reimbursements under the general insurance policy. of €385, you can opt for a voluntary deductible of €485, €585, €685, €785 or €885. You will get a discount on your premium when you opt for a higher deductible. Do keep in mind, however, that you will need to pay the first €485 to €885 in healthcare costs yourself should you need care.

Up to the age of 18, most treatments provided by the physiotherapist are reimbursed under the general insurance policy.

From the age of 18, the general insurance policy only reimburses physiotherapy in a few specific cases. If you would like to have the costs of normal physiotherapy reimbursed, you should select an additional insurance package.
