Do my family members also get the group discount?
Yes, your family members can get a group discount on the additional insurance package just like you. They will also get all the other extra group benefits, such as the HealthCheck and the rollover of 5 unused physiotherapy sessions. And it applies to children who are students and no longer live at home. Children under 18 are co-insured without charge.
What reimbursements does the group health insurance policy provide?
The reimbursements under the general insurance policy is the same for everyone. The additional insurance package and dental insurance do, however, provide different reimbursements depending on the group health insurance policy. The exact reimbursements are decided in consultation with your employer. And being insured under a group scheme means that you get more benefits and reimbursements to stay fit and healthy, on top of all the extra benefits you already get as a CZ customer.
If you are already a customer, take a look at your reimbursements on 'Mijn CZ'.
When can I switch to group health insurance?
That depends on how you are currently insured:
- Do you already have health insurance with CZ? Then you can switch to our group health insurance from the 1st of the following month. Make sure you switch within 30 days of the start date of your new employment.
- Have you just joined your employer and do you already have group health insurance with another insurer? You can also switch to our group health insurance from the 1st of the following month. Make sure you switch within 30 days of the start date of your new employment.
- Have you just joined your employer and do you not yet have group health insurance with another insurer? Then you can switch to our group health insurance as of 1 January.
Will my group health insurance end if I resign?
If you leave your employer, please let us know. In most cases, you will continue to be insured until 1 January of the following year. We will then convert your group health insurance into individual insurance.
Will my group health insurance end when I retire?
That depends on the group health insurance scheme.
- In most cases, you can just keep your group health insurance, meaning that you do not need to arrange anything yourself.
- Some employers have special group health insurance for retirees. You can then switch to that policy.
- In other cases, the group health insurance will end, in which case we will convert it into individual insurance as of 1 January of the following year.
Ask your employer which of these cases applies to you and if you have to notify CZ yourself, or if your employer will take care of that.
